INDIVIDUTOPIA: A novel set in a neoliberal dystopia by Joss Sheldon
"Individutopia" is a work of political dystopian fiction, inspired by 1984 and Brave New World. Unlike those classics, however, it's not dominated by a big state but by big business. It takes the economic trends of the neoliberal era and pushes them to their extreme conclusion. Everything is owned by an oligarch class, everyone competes, and not one socialises with anyone else. It's dark, individualistic, and more relevant to the world today than any other book in the genre.
