Summoner is a short Fantasy novel.
A hero that can't die isn't really a hero at all. But Dahlin doesn't want to be a hero and he no longer has any interest in changing the world. He removed himself from the machinations of kings and swore to never involve himself in the plots of empires a long time ago. His promise is broken when he is captured and forced into a secret task. He must take the Princess on a perilous journey across the land to the Pillars, the one place that can train her in the wild and dangerous magic she now wields. Magic that allows her to communicate with all creatures of the world and call monsters to her aid. Their path takes them through enchanted castles and ancient forests, across dangerous seas and sprawling citadels. Dahlin will learn the courage of a child and be reminded that some things are worth fighting for.
